The Problem: Time-Consuming Manual Translations and Formatting

Are you tired of manually translating and formatting dates and times for official letters, invoices, or schedules in Malay? It’s not just you. Many businesses and individuals struggle with this time-consuming task daily. Miss one detail and you could be facing misunderstandings with clients, delays, or even compliance issues.

Why This Matters

  • Time is Money: Hours spent on manual translation could be invested in growing your business or completing other crucial tasks.
  • Accuracy: A single mistake in date or time could lead to missed deadlines or failed appointments.
  • Professionalism: Inconsistent or incorrect translations can damage your reputation.

The Solution: AutoTarikhMy

What Is AutoTarikhMy?

AutoTarikhMy is an automated Google Sheet script designed to instantly convert and format your dates and times into the Malay language. Developed to simplify your workflow, AutoTarikhMy takes your English-formatted dates and times and turns them into accurate and professional Malay versions.

Key Features

  • Automated Translation: No more manual translation of dates and times.
  • Google Sheet Integration: Seamlessly integrates with your existing Google Sheets.
  • Advanced Customization: Edit the script for additional customization if you're an advanced user.

How It Works

  1. Input the dates and times in your Google Sheet.
  2. Locate and click the button labeled Generate Letter.
  3. A pop-up will appear asking which row you would like to use for generating the letter. Enter the row number and click "OK".
  4. A new Google Doc will be generated, containing your formal letter. All the dates and times will be converted to Malaysian format.
  5. Note: The letter's date will be automatically set to today's date, also converted to the Malay month.

Google Sheet Columns Explained

  1. Date 1: Surat Rujukan
    • The date on the client's letter you're referring to (replaces Column A).
  2. Date 2: Mesyuarat
    • The date for a meeting or an event that you want to discuss in the letter (replaces Column B).
  3. Time: Mesyuarat
    • The time for the meeting or event mentioned in "Date 2: Mesyuarat" (replaces Column C).
  4. Date 3: Maklumbalas
    • The deadline by which you require a response from the client or the party you're writing to (replaces Column D).
  5. Hypothetical Draft Letter ExampleSuppose you received a letter from a client on Obtober 1, 2023, asking for a meeting to discuss a project. You decide that the meeting will be on Obtober 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM, and you want their confirmation by Obtober 10, 2023.
